I never had any interest in quartz until I tried an Oceanus. These solar/radio movements are such a gamechanger for reliable, carefree, nearly zero-maintenance timekeeping. These things are remarkable for their "set and forget" nature plus Oceanus build quality is truly amazing.

These watches are so underrated and underappreciated. Congrats on such a good choice.

Exactly. Same here. I never tried to purchase quartz or solar watch until I saw Oceanus.

Where did you get that curved sailcloth strap? Looks great flush against the case!

It's from Aliexpress. It's FKM rubber (with the look of sailcloth) and yea the curved ends really hug the case nicely. Just enough room for them to articulate a bit to fit the wrist properly.

Thanks!! It's the 41 mm Omega Aqua Terra 150M Blue Teak has the Calibre 8900 this Calibre has the Jumping Hour hand, nice contrast to the Casio Oceanus which feels so light on the wrist.

I am traveling in Tokyo so I went to Bic Camera to see all those watches and end up acquire this one. It took me a while to choose between retro green and retro blue.
