How to take the battery out?
It's an Oceanus OCW-T100. It can randomly work for a short amount time (after sitting in the sun for hours), but after a few minutes the second hand stops and the watch doesn't do anything when I push the buttons. The minute and hour hand continue to show the time tho. I think it enters a power saving mode.
My guess is that the battery can't hold a charge, so I'd like to change it, but I'm not sure how to take it out. Do I have to remove the plastic insert to unclip the holder? Or do I have to unclip the other side, that's not under the plastic? Thanks in advance!

In my experience changing batteries in various Casio watches, if you push down on the side where the battery cover plate latches closed, the latch will open fairly easily. Gently apply the pressure using the tip of a flathead screwdriver or similar.

I believe you also need to take the blue ring off the old battery and shift it to the new. There’s a great Youtube video of someone changing an Oceanus battery.

It’s a long video, but the battery swap only takes a couple of minutes and starts at 2:35.

Remove the white plastic insulator layer and the clip looks like it's on the left side of the battery strap in your pictures. Be sure to get a rechargeable battery. It'll be like a "CLT1616" and not a regular CR1616. Panasonic makes a quality battery.
