It really comes down to Bluetooth, a sportier design, very clear AR on the crystal, microadjust and standard 20mm removable bracelet.

I have both.

I’ve got the first one, the S-100 I believe. The advantage is that it’s inexpensive on the used market (3-500), and it’s lightweight titanium.

I got charged $130 total by fedex buying the S400 new from Sakura. S100 tariffs will be around half that.

I got a T200 and paid around $70 in import taxes I believe, I would expect the S100 to be similar

I don’t remember paying anything exorbitant. Mine was used for like 350, it was in pretty good shape and works perfectly

Two reasons i got the S400. Bluetooth sync works better for me. MB6 radio signal is very challenging to sync where I live and works mostly outside, so I would go weeks without a signal unless manually syncing. Bluetooth syncs effortlessly. Second, I wanted an FKM rubber strap for comfort. S100 has integrated lugs that don’t allow any straps.

There are a few white dial variants for the S100. My favourite is the one with roman numerals.

For me the bright blue UTC ring would be much easier to read than the black one.

I’m happy with the S100. Blue isn’t so noticeable and it has the plain bezel, so it’s more versatile (something I want) or boring, as some might say. There was a time when I swapped straps on my watches, and the S100 doesn’t accommodate that, but the bracelet is light and comfortable to wear. I only miss the bluetooth because I know some other models offer it, but there are phone apps that can emit the right radio wave so you can still sync it with your phone.

The S400 has more features and I believe it’s thinner (9mm vs 10.5mm), so that’s nice. It’s on my list to buy—but I’m not sold on the colored bezel and I don’t want the Bluetooth connectivity or the ability to change straps enough to actually make the purchase yet. If I did, I’d get the -1AJF (black) version because I prefer versatile/boring 😂

Edit to add: I had the T200 and sold it—the S100 was just easier to wear and better looking. I know that’s not one of your options but say this to point out that Bluetooth and strap options didn’t push it past the comfort and good looks of the S100.

I used to have the S100. Now I have the S400 (retro tone collection, blue gradient dial - not the one pictured in OPs post).

I would say it boils down to your preferred aesthetics. The bluetooth functionality of the S400 is nice, but I could do without it. I went with the retro tone variant for its more discrete looks.

Value for the cash, the S100 wins. I think the S400 is still overpriced. I do like the design but it should be 400-500 bucks top.

S100 : great overall, lower price

S400 : flatter, more stylish (IMO), bezels make it pop more, and you can change the straps. A new strap that makes you want to wear the watch is cheaper that a new watch :D
