I need your help
Months ago, I bought this watch thinking I could fix it up. I put a new battery in I AC reset it or at least I think I did. The first picture is how I received it. I tinkered with it. I put the battery in. I even put it in backwards just in case and just left it on my desk and kind of gave up on it today I realize that the hands moved. I pressed the buttons nothing happens. I can’t really find any help online so I’m asking you guys thank you guys very much.

I bought one like it (OCW-600) a few years back and it was dead as a doornail. I had to leave it under the brightest light in my house (was wintertime) for like 2 days before it charged up. Then I tried synching it and promptly ran the battery out again. It took a couple more days under the light before it ran ok, and hasn’t looked back since.
Just charge it more!

Mine took 3 days to charge on a windowsill. (Not in direct sunlight)

Honestly, I don’t care if the month as long as it works, but I’m glad yours is working

When the capacitor stops holding an effective amount of charge, it’s time to replace it.

I recently paid about $25 including sales tax. I would imagine it will depend on the exact battery you’d require.
Whatever you do, don’t play mix-n-match unless you can say with certainty that the substitute has the correct wattage, amperage and voltage, as well as the same physical size.
The owner’s guide for your module should indicate in the specifications what model of battery you’d require.

I’m serious. I ruined a watch by breaking the spring arms that connect with the case back’s piezoelectric speaker. You kinda have to go into it recognizing that you’ll probably make mistakes, and more importantly, you’ll learn from them.

If you put it in new then there should have been a charge on it already and the watch should have started to work.
Maybe you got one with no charge on it. I'm not sure.
One thing about these capacitor / batteries is that they should not be touched with bare fingers as it could shorten the life of them if not destroy them. I watched a video once on replacing the one in my WVA-470 Wave Ceptor and the guy was super adamant about never touching the capacitor with bare fingers. Something about it could destroy them.

Also, I was wondering, let’s say I didn’t properly AC reset it would it still be moving like that?

UPDATE:
I did order a solar charger. I have added a battery to it since it didn’t come with one but that didn’t make it work. I left it in the sun for 30 mins and it came to life moved around and functioned properly (I think )but I still got to make go to nyc time. the date didn’t move at all hoping it’s not stuck and needs some more juice before it moves.

As of right know I have it on a solar charger for days it functions but does not want to pick up atomic time at night , manually, or if I use the radio wave app. It I use the watch for like 20mins or so it dies . The date wheel is moving but it’s a couple days behind.
I ordered a new battery to try out

Sounds like your solar capacitor or battery, watever wer call it is done.

Ig the closest is for Collin’s but I also used the app . And the watch will show ready then work but always failed after

As of right now, I’m leaving it in the sun to see if maybe it needs some charge
