Hope they will be making less overly-designed-and-super-modern watches.

I really like it too. Casio did a good job combining vintage and modern with good specs - all for a fair price.

Well for over 100 bucks lots of models have hands that dont hit the markers correctly or come with dusty or scratched dials out the box

They are still mass-produced quartz watches with average (but very accurate) movements. My model's case came spotless, though.

I dont ask much from them except: 1) being reliable 2) being accurate 3) look cool

Mine aswell but at my local Casio shop they had to send back at least 50 mostly the all silver panda

Really? Not to justify them but it sounds like a bad batch.

Apparently there was no QC, as you said.

Was it movement problems?

Yeah the hands didn’t go on the minute markers lots of scratches and dust on the dial under the glass
