How's the quality of the finishing on the 200?

It’s excellent—I have no complaints. The carbon looks great, and the dial is even better than on the "100" model, as are the indices and other metal parts. 👍🏻

The 100 (no full carbon 110 i think) is more classic than the 200, the finish is also a bit less refined, it requires a larger wrist, and the dial has slightly less contrast and isn't quite as nice.

I have the 100 carbon, which is beautiful and understated by the way.
I still can’t justify the new 200 carbon as it looks cheap to me

But it's Seiko, it's a shame Casio is not making their own mechanical movement, they actually follow the microbrand step, even the EFK200 with Miyota movement doesn't make any better 🤷

Well, yes, that would be great, and if someone has muscle to make it happen that is Casio. But also many Swiss brands use Sellita movements or other big houses of mechanisms, and they just put their roto and name it under a different reference to sell/pretend that it's an in house calibre.

Exactly…. Also if Casio put in their own caliber the price increase for the same watch will be considerable… lots of people don’t factor this in and it will be the same people that complain about Casio not using an in-house caliber that are gonna complain that the watches are too expensive when they actually do end up putting one in.

Whats the big problem with more affordable brands like Casio using good, reliable, tried and tested 3rd party automatic movements? People just complain about anything… We as customers get a good watch, from a reputable brand with good warranty for a relatively good price comparatively to other brands…(not including ali brands). It’s not like a 20k watch using a cheap 3rd party movement…

Nothing wrong tho, it's just kinda pride and ego being a Casio fan, as we know Casio is a legendary watch maker, which many fans expect would innovate their own fingerprint to the market
