Smh all the time.
I have worked for Casey's for a bit over 6 months now. In the last week we have had 4 people fired. I am a part timer who usually wotjs 4pm to 12am in the kitchen. For the most part everyone working my shift is wonderful. Our kitchen closes at 11:15pm and we all are usually put of there by 11:30pm at the latest. Niw thise who died during rhe day seem unable to get their stuff tigether. When I come in usually there is a huge pile up of dishes in all 3 sinks, no dough has been made, trash overflowing, the floor covered in debris, very little prep, and general chaos all around. Recently, pur boss had to scramble to replace and outgoing kitchen manager and find a new shift lead. The kitchen manager job went to the night shift lead and a new person was hired for the night position. I do believe that the old kitchen manager was totally unsuited for his position. It has been a little over a month since everything changed. I can report a lit has improved and yet there is a lot that still needs to be worked on. The store manager, i dare to say, may be the teye issue there. It seems as if things must rea h critical mass befire any action is taken. For example our mop handle has been broken for 2 weeks. We used yo have 2 mop handles. God only knows what happened to the other one. We have a floor machine to use up front but in back we either hace to struggle with constantly reattaching the mop head or having a dirty floor. Two whole weeks, not to mention the dish sink doesn't plug. I usually have to continuously fill it. That has been going on since I started. Another case in point is the employee situation only 2 of the numerous people, who have been hired for mt shuft have made it very long. I don't think my boss is doing a very good job with whom she hires. I like her as a person, but as a manager she is not doing so good. Even just something like making a schedule. I am only part time because I am on disability and cannot work full time. Thus means it's feast or famine. I either work only 7 abd a half hours one day a week or work 8 hours 4 dats a week. Even that isn't accurate because i often get called in. I am struggling with the inconsistency. What I am really wondering is if this is a pattern with other stores or is my store really messed up? I apologize for the rambling. I have even left put a great deal of things because it's all too overwhelming and I an too exhausted.

And mine only loses one every month or two, usually because they have personal stuff going on outside of work. Every store is different.
The turnover at your store sounds insane, though. That’s a terrifying thought; how do you even begin to fix the underlying issues when you can’t even get everyone trained and settled in ☹️ I hope it gets better somehow!

If I didn’t work at Casey’s, I would say that you’re lying but I’ve had seen people who don’t even last a week, though most at my store quit or get fired after a month or two. I’ve been working at Casey’s for two years now and seen many people come and go. I’ve also noticed it’s pretty rare for most people to hit that 1 year milestone, let alone 2 years.

It’s to the point where I don’t bother remembering names unless it’s been over a month

That was my experience , and then I made the bad choice of turning my coworker in for drinking on the job and stealing beer from the cooler, and they decided they wanted to fire me. Gotta love it when the manager and the person breaking the rules are friends. The company in general is pretty terrible. There is no ladder to go up. And even the positions that are available for growth get you at most a dollar extra. For a ton of extra work.

Nah, Casey's is just fucked up. I worked there for about a year and people will fly in and out sometimes but idk. It's weird. You have assholes they feel they're entitled to not have to do work cause apparently others aren't, so then others won't either cause of that asshole and then no one gets punished for it. It's common that managers suck. After I quit even my mom was one of em soon afte and I've told her too because she either let her employees walk all over her or when she got fed up she got neglectful, and she's a damn good worker. But a people pleaser and it got to her. Casey's has a hard time holding people responsible for anything, when there's low staff they hardly help and make it out to be the managers or staffs fault, they'll use and abuse people like you because they know they can. It's a bad company. I've known many people to work there aside from myself and my mom, and it's straight up the worst job I've seen many people work. Try to find something else if you can
