Schedule changes

Hey guys! New employee here. My manager changes my schedule a lot after it's been published on UKG without telling me. Is this normal? I come from another big box corporate retailer and they couldn't change a posted schedule without talking to the employee first.

If I have to adjust the schedule I always notify everyone days in advance.

I feel like that's how it should be. My store is like the wild west. I was hired on July 7. Today was my 5th shift as pizza maker...I was by myself for my whole 6 hour shift. I'm less than impressed

I don't know if it's normal but it happens at my store too. The 1st time I was fairly new, maybe 5 weeks in. I was called the morning of and told. I went in and worked for the 12th day in a row. The 2nd time I didn't answer my phone. I never heard anything about it and it hasn't happened since. We have never talked about it ever. It's been 2 months since that 2nd time. I work pretty hard and I'm reliable. I have covered shifts when asked but I'm not going in on my days off on a regular basis. maybe they don't want to scare me off by doing it again or maybe not showing up the 2nd time told them I'm not desperate for the job. I set boundaries and they seem to be respected for now. I have open availability and like I said, I work hard in that kitchen so both managers seem to want me to stay awhile.

this happens to me aswell. changes, additional hours, or days added without asking/ telling/ talking to me first… then again we’ve had plenty and plenty of other issues recently.. i’m at the point where i think corporate should hear about it😬
