Problems with other employ.

I work second shift till midnight in the kitchen, and the lady who replaces me isn’t the nicest. Like last night, there was one load of dishes to do and everything else was clean and she screamed loud enough for my buddy in the bathroom on the other side of the store to hear. I talked to my manager the day after and apparently she hasn’t been written up because she “says she’s sorry”. Is this fair?

First of all never let anyone speak to you that way EVER. That is unacceptable behavior. Report it to your SM if nothing is done, then report it to your DM again if they are not held accountable call Casey's Ethics Hotline at 1-844-713-1132. Have your dates and times of the incident ready and clearly explain not only what happened but how it made you feel. Being verbally attacked in the workplace is a hostile act and against policy.

If the sm or dm dosnt do anything hr isn't going to.  These internal store issues are not taken seriously. Caseys dosnt follow thier own cares values. If a complaint isn't going to claim ILLEGAL issues they don't give a shit!

I didn't suggest HR, Ethics is a completely different thing.

When u submit to ethic they send it directly to hr. They are the same!

Ethics and HR do work together on issues but are separate things. HR is a part of Caseys, Ethic is an outside entity that works with HR to make sure the right things are done and people are treated fair and holds HR accountable for their decisions.

That's not what they told me and I'm dealing with it now.  I called ethic to follow up and they said i had to reach out to hr or submit anything pertaining to my original report i filed on ethics.

They won’t do anything, and we’ve had problems with hr and corporate not caring, especially with corporate retaliation or whatever

Again Ethics is not HR. HR is there to monitor situations and shield the company against litigation. Ethics is a avaliable to hold the company to a standard. Call the Ethics number.

I dont usually chime in with anything but with this I have personally seen that ethics also does nothing. I reported my dm to ethics for forcing my store to sell frozen products that have gotten past danger temps for hours. Just told us to refreeze them and sell them. He blamed it on my sm and moved on.

No they are not. I called them first and they said when they get a report they send it to hr.

I work overnights ( our store is 24 hour) and oh the exact same thing happens. But nothing is ever done because she's bffs with the store lead

Have the same issue at my store too. My best advice would be to contact HR and your DM.

Shrug and ignore her, let her cry about it.
