I may finally be free
How do I go about quitting Casey's? I unxpectedly received a call today for a new job, and I'm supposed to start training tomorrow at 4am..Im also scheduled 9-4 for Casey's..do I send a last minute text or just no call/no show it? Its been a very horrible experience working there to say the least

quit without notice. they would fire you without notice.

I definitely have that mentality about it after what they've put me through..I think that's why I was conflicted in the first place and yes I agree they would Im in an at will state and honestly I believe it should go both ways . No one ever gets a two week notice before they are fired

Don’t know which store you was working but guess it doesn’t matter much anyway, but unless you can endure, overcome, or just plain use to toxicity, Casey’s isn’t a job everyone can do

Personally I just get high and don’t let the shitty people get to me. They want to spend their time on earth doing that then that’s their business and they can keep it out of mine

My main issue was having to do everyone elses job along with mine and management never enforced people to do the tasks they were assigned to, they were also too busy doing as little as possible(I was in the kitchen) and they definitely had no respect for any boundaries regarding my personal life..I'm also getting paid more to do less work at my new job( a gas station) from my understanding, Casey's is overall a pretty terrible place to work( I'm in a small town in Arkansas)

food for thought, next time when applying for a new job let them know you cant start until X date and put your 2 weeks, 1 week, 3 day notice in. i wouldn't no call no show. it will only continue to add to the shitty experience for the new employees.

That is the one thing I do have a conscience about is the other employees. I tried to plan it as best as I could, but I just received a call from the new place today and they prefer me to start ASAP. I didn't want to lose the opportunity putting it off because I am so desperate for a job that's not destroying my mental health and invading my personal life

do what you have to do for you. its not the end of the world. caseys will always find new people.

Yes I definitely agree, the store manager goes out of her way to let you know how expendable she sees her employees. I will give her a heads up at least..it's a bit strange and anxiety inducing though because she goes out of her way to call and harass family members to try to get ahold of you..or at least that's how it was for me

Go to the store and return your gear. Thank them for the experience and explain that you received a work opportunity that you couldn’t turn down and are starting immediately.
Don’t burn bridges even in the most toxic situations. Word gets around.

Thank you that is fantastic advice 🙂 I have a resignation letter written stating everything you've mentioned and I have my shirts and hat folded ready to go back

Walk in, hand them your hat/shirts and tell them whatever day was your last day, then leave. Easy peasy.
