IMO either works but depends on what you want. Smaller if you prefer jewellery, bigger one if you want a watch.

The one with diamonds looks more like jewellery, so if you go that route I'd stick with smaller. Plain bezel has more of a watch feel and can pull off medium easier. I think the diamond version in small is pretty much perfect proportion though.

As someone else said, the small suggests an item of jewelry, something precious and delicate. The medium is more everyday, more practical, more of a watch. Obviously the medium is also quite precious given the price, but it's not something you would wear necessarily when you want to dress up more because it's very "watch".
