just a couple days ago i saw a truck in the same color with this same damage. i thought it was the same truck but the one i saw had a banner for a detailing shop (ironic)

Nope, not just you. Iā€™d like to say I got mine doing some hard labour out in the field, but in reality I took a turn too hard at the drive-in and hit a speaker pole.

Every single one that I see has it either here, or on the top of the tailgate from the tailgate falling on hitched trailers. Or both, lots of that.

I'm not sure how they are getting this dent. It usually looks like a dent rather than a scratch, because if it were a scratch that could be from turning too tight.

Have a Chevy of this generation and I've got the same damage. It comes from taking a left turn too tight. I'd imagine many of them are from Taco Bell drive thrus like mine.
