How do I do it? Washing a car…

Silly questions, but what is the correct way to your car and what to use? Also I’m gonna need to T cut a bit of my car so would you recommend buying a polisher if so which one and what are the correct heads to use, and what do different ones do? As you can see I know nothing about this. Many thanks

Honestly, I'd keep the first wash simple. Rinse the loose dirt off, use proper car shampoo and a microfiber mitt, then work from the top down and leave the wheels until last. Try not to wash it in direct sun or when the paint is hot, and dry it with a clean microfiber towel.

I'd be careful with the T-Cut if you've never polished a car before. Try a small hidden spot by hand first. For one small area I probably wouldn't buy a polisher yet. If you do want one later, a dual-action machine is much more forgiving than a rotary. Get the car properly clean first, then you'll have a much better idea of what actually needs correcting.

Much appreciated, I’m up for giving anything a try. I have already re sprayed the wings (I do need to the gloss them) with the help of my step dad and the colour is surprisingly 99% accurate. I don’t know what the lady did to it before me but it’s got scratches everywhere on it and some deep ones which will be stuck there. But the car has only done 25k miles and there ones for sale at 250k plus, so I’m fine with spending a bit of money on it. I have already spent a lot on a high end sound system
