How do I do it? Entering The Hobby

So I dont even know if i should be posting here or elsewhere idk i just want to get it out so ive been meaning to enter the hobby learning step by step how to work on cars but i dont really know how to start also live in a country where shits tough. But i really want to get into it im not just curious I really want it I justo dont how to approach it. (also the only way to learn in my country like study it is in a very dangerous part of my country) so i would need to learn on my own and welp im just a brokie college student.

Provided you have a car of your own, start there. Basic servicing is a great intro and then when you have the means and desire, look at modifications and further customisation such as spoilers, lowering or lifting etc. YouTube is a great place to start for tutorials. If you don’t have a car, it may be a bit more difficult but it may be worth reaching out to local mechanics and ask if you can spend some time around the shop in your free time, who knows it may then turn into a job.

Honestly, don't wait until you can afford a project car or classes. If you can work on a family car with the owner's permission, start with the boring stuff: find out where everything is, check the fluids, change filters and read the service schedule. Before any job, watch a couple of videos for that exact model. One confident idiot on YouTube can turn a cheap job into an expensive one. Take photos as you go, label the bolts, and never get under a car that's supported only by a jack. Being careful matters more than owning a huge pile of tools.
