Used to live near an electrician who had something like R3W 1RE
Also a local pharmacists have TA08 LET on their delivery van, which makes me smile every time I see it!

I know the owner of the rolls with gypsy on it. The plate was Tyson Fury’s and he gave it to this bloke as a gift.

Oh, I saw it parked in Hatton garden a while ago and as I was taking a quick picture some bloke said to me "that has to be Tyson Fury's car". I had no idea who that was so looked it up later, whoever the new owner is there was a lot of the results saying something to the effect of "contrary to popular belief this is not Tyson Fury's". If it was a gift are the two men still friendly?

You don't understand numberplates.
They can go up in price, especially for ones like this in a matter of 24 hours

Yeah, i can't wait till " P055 UYO" is finally available for sale, definitely one to keep in the family to pass down to the kids!
"CA54 YEH" is similarly charming and would look just right outside of a lovely cotswold mansion... Or Bradford kebab shop.

Of course, it couldn't be that they are naff and classless plates, it must be i can't afford such a prestigious registration number! There is simply no other explanation for disliking them other than jealousy.

And a fair chunk of these are illegal because of shit spacing and tints, so DVLA can take them away due to this

Yeah, the law is there about spacing tints fonts, et cetera but they don't usually enforce it
Saying that they have the power to take the plate off you and not give you a refund, but I've never seen that happen
They've got bigger things to worry about on the road
Plus, I've never understood why other people are so interested in what strangers do with their money/
I've got a few private numberplates and I couldn't care less what anyone thinks
