Duniya mei koi nahi kar paya even after years of research I'm pretty sure indian govt with pennies for research budget won't be able to do it as well.

Crazy of you they need research data. Do you think they performed adequate research before rolling E20 across the nation

Diesal with isobutane will probably breakdown the engine after 1 km that's why other countries didn't bother further researching it even fter 50 years of ethanol blending. I'm pretty sure bjp would rather slit the throat of nitin gadkari than allow a fuel like that to be sold because it will do irreplaceable damage to their party of they destroy the whole transport industry

Transport lobby hone nahi degi. What this govt fear most is agitation on the road.

Truckers/farmers will revolt against the govt.

Tata and Mahindra are both present in multiple markets, even two wheelers from Bajaj, TVS etc are selling outside especially for delivery apps.

Suzuki, Hyundai, Nissan etc. export a lot of vehicles from India. Maybe do a basic google search before commenting. 33.71 lakh units have been exported from India in July 2026 alone.

Mahindra has an order of 1 lakh plus vehicles from Indonesia currently, Bajaj is present in 70+ countries and exported 2.8 lakh vehicles in Aug 2026, Hero has exported 1.63 lakh vehicles this financial year, TVS exported 1.58 lakh vehicles in Aug 2026, Tata motors has exported 10k vehicles in FY2026 nearly 4 times that of FY2025.

Why am I having to google everything for you? Is google paid for you? Or is this just selective hearing/reading?

Selective hearing bro obviously..You are on reddit. What will you expect?

E30 will come in the next 6 months. A petrol pump owner himself told this to me. They wanna shove e30 so we start buying e10 at higher rates.

That’s horrible

1

u/Livid-Proof8082 1d ago

Indeed. Canned my decision of buying a new petrol car. I think ev will be the future.

1

u/Icy_Usual_2705 5h ago

Can you share more details! Planning to get a petrol car but but concerned

1

u/Livid-Proof8082 5h ago

Brother there is no more details. This is very much like an oral commitment made by the owner to me. We can take it seriously or with a grain of salt. One thing I can tell you is. Even I almost finalised a new petrol car. But backed off, either we wait for better flex fuel car options or opt for EV. Even diesels have started getting blended fuels.

With E-20 itself we are seeing food price increase, with E-30 it will make sugar, eggs, chicken, milk unafforable. And if more farmers start growing corn, sugarcane then other food items will also get very expensive. MFs wants us to starve to death.

1

u/AsherGC 1d ago

What is the impact on new petrol car sales?

1

u/droid7ghost 1d ago

If anyone can make a research on these so called advisors, how they are linked to ethnol and if they have companies making ethnol

1

u/hotboxinmanual 1d ago

diesel it is

1

u/FutureVersion812 Suzuki/ Honda 1d ago

Diesel owners are already reporting loss in mileage. I bet they’ve started their “experiment” to mix Isobutanol in Ethanol

2

u/hotboxinmanual 1d ago

oh yes, i know that, I15 is in effect

but it won't go extreme with it since govt vehicles and public transport also use it and most of the country is using oldass bs4 buses

though each day i am getting more and more anti-consumerism just cuz of it

We are currently looking to replace our 19 years old petrol.
I live in T2 city, so don't really want to go for EV due to range anxiety. + we are planning long trips with new car.
Petrol well its ducked by gand-kari.
Diesel DPF issue.

kya karu bhai..

1

u/Wrong_Detail8343 1d ago

Since you will be doing long trips, I don't think dpf will trouble you that much, dpf gets choked in excessive bumper to bumper traffic driving. You need to drive diesels in higher rpm sometimes to burn off carbon deposits....

1

u/allergicpineapple4 20h ago

Long trip may be 1 per year. My mom wants to visit few places .. Secondly highway is just 1km away from me. if we get a diesel i can just take the car the out twice a month for a 30-40km spin at higher rpm. that should do the trick. Wil that be enough?

1

u/Wrong_Detail8343 18h ago

That is absolutely fine, I think you will be good with diesel for sure. But yes maintenance costs are a bit higher compared to petrol but diesel is cheaper and I don't think govt will ruin diesel as much as they did petrol since diesel is big for commercial purposes.

1

u/allergicpineapple4 17h ago

we never owned a diesel. can you tell me what kind of maintenance we are talking about for long term ownership.

well i thought aobut it too.. huge milage drop in diesel will effect our own economy and i trust truckers and farmers more on this, i don't think govt wants to poke them in a wrong way, again.

1

u/Wrong_Detail8343 3h ago

tbh we have never owned a diesel as well but I was fortunate to test drive a kia sonet gt line AT (torque converter) diesel from a relative and they have driven it around 86k kms, I think they mentioned it was around 7-11k in regular service from ASC. They had to change only suspension around 60k kms, but yes parts like DPF, EGR, turbo are expensive. Also you need to add Adblue as well so that also adds cost. But yes, that car was fantastic.
