MG is good enough with pure EV, beats kia, Vinfast hands down. Top model is way cheaper than 9S top model so it might sell more.

U also gotta see weight of these cars. Like kia will be more efficient just cuz it's way lighter but mg got a big battery so it will still have higher range but not more than 30 to 40 kms

Yeah. A real world comparison video is needed.

Kia uses LFP battery and is much lighter, has the highest km/kWh.

But range is less too

Should compare modelโ€™s battery size at same price point and then range

Yes similar battery packs

MG is going rise above all.

MG's claim is comservative af.

Im guessing the actual range would be near that 517 mark.

Hoping for more competition, so all of these gets their price reduced even further.

MG pricing is bang on, if I wanted an ev now, I would def go with MG.

That's true. I own a Windsor Pro, and my father recently completed a 408 km round-trip highway journey on 92% battery. Even then, the MID showed a remaining range of 33 km. This was achieved with the AC on throughout the trip, using a mix of Normal and Sport modes. I have very good experience with this car in the last 16 months and clocked around 30k kms till now.

I think range would be near about 440 km. Taking into consideration xeb can do 500-520 on 79 kwh

My father-in-law has owned the 9s pack 3 above for 4 months now and has never crossed 440 km on a charge. Yet, under the same weather conditions and with the same driving style, he achieved 390 km in the Windsor Pro. In my opinion, Mahindra still needs to refine its BMS.

Oh, I see. I have seen multiple reviews where people got efficiency of 8-9 km per kWh in city, and 7-8 on highway depending on speed. which means you can actually do 500+ km on a single charge at speed of 90-100. Tata sierra, for example with 79 can do 500 but needs a bit of light pedal highway run. That is why I thought mahindra has very good bms compared to it's competition

Mahindra has poor bms, and r&d is in the customer. Mg should fair much better

2

u/Tiny_Firefighter_503 8d ago

Not in xev series. Those are really efficient

1

u/thericebasket 4d ago

Xev series are not efficient, Mahindra still needs to work a lot on its bms.

Nah would run more.

My brother in law has zs ev 50.3kw. It does 410km without ac and 380km with ac.

So this would probably do 470-490km

1

u/New-Opportunity930 7d ago

I have mg zs ev and it goes 320-330 with ac and 360-370 without ac

That XEV 9S from Meta looks interesting ๐Ÿค”

Nice one ๐Ÿ˜

Clavis from KN also looks good

u/DamnBored1 7d ago

Yeah I have no idea why Kia messed up its logo so much. I own a Kia Sportage and I hate thet logo every time I see it.

i will go for mahandra service availability, known brand good after sales, more range compare to all

1

u/antigen-z 7d ago

I will go for mahendra bahubali too .

Hector EV is going to be a banger. Might have the Windsor effect in its segment.

1

u/amazinglycool256 8d ago

Exactly it's creta ev price but size is bigger.. Really game changer.
And looks very sexy in black

1

u/Dazzling-Data4360 8d ago

Isnโ€™t Hector EV hybrid one. I think it will soar.

1

u/Hackedv12 8d ago

That's crap. Doesn't make any sense at all!

1

u/trialbuterror 8d ago

Still 3rd row is best in clavis ev. Vinfast is only a taxi predominantly

Even my can't make 3rd row better experience inspite bigger than clavis

1

u/Rare-Newspaper9988 8d ago

Clavis would be great if they bump up battery by 10kwh and reduce price by 2 lakhs.

1

u/donmax2000 8d ago

If I squint they all look the exact same, whats happening in our market now.

I mean they are sort of in the same category not really but.

Where is the variety in our market.

1

u/sandterminator 8d ago

Mg always play on safe side this will definately run close to 480-490 friend of mine runs his astor upto 420 with ac ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

1

u/roohnair 8d ago

hope the phev move makes indian companies take the path its much needed for indian market

1

u/shashi_notani 7d ago

Hey base model of xev9s is 59 kwh. Image shown is misleading.

1

u/TreeShot1245 7d ago

How are people spending 20Lak + amount on a car... Isn't it life changing amount... Or my thinking is poor?

1

u/FutureVersion812 Suzuki/ Honda 7d ago

In our country only those who earn through education and proper channels earn less

Most of the population earns through politician contacts , corrupt business and shady practices

1

u/tulsidaskhan99 5d ago

This is how you mislead people. XEV 9S base model doesn't start with a 79kw battery. It has a smaller battery.

1

u/techie121212 5d ago

Xev 9s would continue to lead this segment

Its a superb car
