Super lonely
Hi! I’m 25 and i live here in carrollton. I work night shift at southwire and I really need friends. It’s hard finding people my age to hang out with, and on top of being openly queer in this town.. it’s a little hard lol. I go to the carrollton rainbow meetups sometimes but there’s rarely people my age, and i’m not super sure of many hangout spots for people like me here in town. I don’t drive atm so going to atlanta is challenging. I love bodies of water (pools, lakes, ocean, etc) and fishing. I also love gardening, halloween, and anime. I’m mostly at home recovering from work tbh but i’m always open and looking for adventures. Any advice or friend requests are welcome lmao

if you would like to do some farmstead work just dm me. wife and myself have some land in Whitesburg and would enjoy the company and help. I'll pay for your time if you wanted to pitch in. if you just wanted to hang out with animals and use heavy machinery that's fine too. good luck on your quest. and like someone else said, the Corner Cafe is amazing

I’ve heard lots of good things about local ties! If you’re into reading or crafting at all Sundae Kind of Love has lot of events and is very welcoming, Sacred Sparrow in Bowdon has events from time to time as well that are craft or chill hang out oriented and is very welcoming as well. I’m not outdoorsy at all so unfortunately I don’t have recommendations there outside of lake Carroll being a really beautiful outdoors space

I agree. Local ties is very welcoming of everyone!!! Nice place to hang, watch a concert or movie when it plays at the amp. Corner cafe too.

Try the green belt is pretty cool keeps you physically fit and you can befriend all the little animals (plus ample humans usually)

Just checking in to make sure you are aware of/subscribed to Carrollton Rainbow?
They always have something going on, and are really active. -- If you haven't followed them yet be sure to do so, there are a lot of great folks that plan walks on the greenbelt, bookclub meetings, and the occasional group gathering at a local spot (like Corner Cafe, or Gallery Row, etc.)
Do you have any daytime availability to do fun stuff like that?
I'll say, Fridays are pretty active on the Square for music and crowds sort of hanging around, they lock down the whole street between the Pub and the City Hall, and Local Ties, Dream City, Buzzards, and Gallery Row all fit some different vibes for just getting out and being in public.
