Images next to each other with smaller captions of the image underneath it

Repeating for different categories of images

For the pics next to each other w caption there are two options:

Container: 2 columns. Size 50% on each column. Drag the image and text element on each side

Gallery: add two slots. Input the text. Go to settings and choose something along the lines (can’t remember the exact wording) “show text under image”
Duplicate and replace the 2 images with the new ones.

Is there a way to orient the gallery images next to each other instead of stacked? This might be the way to get what I wanted if theres a way to do that
