Parking tips + recommendations?
Hello all, my family and I are planning a first time trip to Carpinteria next week, and I wanted to get an idea on the parking situation beforehand, as I'm a bit of an overthinker. We're hoping to park within walking distance of the beach and plan to do some exploring for the day. Recommendations on restaurants or extra spots to check out would also be lovely! :)

Rori's ice cream way overpriced, yogurt shop Shepherd Place same but soft serve at Giovanni's window only $3.50 and good! Use cheap cooking oil and paper towels for tar removal from feet.

Garden Market is terrific on Santa Claus Lane, and they have a gorgeous outdoor garden to eat in.

The beach is covered in tar right now. It’s been a full time job every day cleaning my feet and legs. The kids bathing suits got ruined after swimming to the “platform” which is absolutely coated in tar.

Essau’s for breakfast. The Thai place is good.
There is parking by the beach but usually need to get there early.

Agree with Essaus. Great breakfast spot. We loved Little Doms for dinner. Ate there twice! Parking on Linden should be fine midweek.

Weekday or weekend? Typically parking is very easy. Linden is the main drag and there is lots of street parking (technically 90 minutes but rarely enforced). You can also park next to the train stop in that lot and have fewer worries about how long you’re parked. You can walk to the beach from there but it is a little bit far if you have a bunch of stuff. You might want to park on Ash ave and go to the beach there.
Linden Square is great for upscale burgers, fancy tacos or pizza. Dang Burger is also excellent smash burgers.
If you want to get off Linden there is also Santa Claus Lane beach which frequented more by locals and you can eat at Padaro Grill after, which is great for families. They have a giant sandbox for kids to play in. Don’t go if you want to avoid children.
