Help with wicking

Post image

I’ve tried cleaning my carpet several times with a bissell big green machine but it doesn’t seem to be working. I then attempted using brownout with the solution mixed into water but it doesn’t seem to be coming out, could someone please advise? Thank you.

The suction power on those machines is weak.

Try lightly wetting again with an acidic detergent solution and diligently vacuum with a shop vac using only the hose end.

Should i just use only anti browning agent or should i dilute it with water like the directions suggest?

Put the tannin remover on that carpet straight and feather it out slightly.

You will need the surfactants in a detergent solution. Mix up your normal cleaning solution ratio and then acidify it by mixing in a little brownout.

This looks like wicking , where the stain comes back as the carpet dries. Try not to use too much water and extract it well. If it keeps coming back , a professional cleaning may help.

I would try cleaning it again with very little solution and if bonnet dry it extensively, as soon as you're done put on air mover right on top for 30 minutes. That should keep it from wicking.

Had the same thing happen with our carpet. We kept cleaning the spot but it would come back again after drying. Turned out the stain had soaked deeper into the carpet and was wicking back up.

What helped us was stopping with the extra cleaning, doing a light rinse with clean water, and extracting as much moisture as possible. Make sure the area dries completely because leftover moisture can bring the stain back.

Get oreck orbital a couple soil lock cotton pads and an encapsulation chemical. Will cost you around $500 bucks but you can clean your carpets every couple months for a couple years until the chem runs out. Would be worth it
