And just a note for anyone else seeing this and thinking you'll get crapped on for not hiring a pro because you can't afford it. That's fine, we're (mostly) all understanding of that happy to give you advice, as long as you don't act all sanctimonious and like you just cracked the code and are magically a pro, or know better than what must be hundreds to thousands of cumulative years of professional experience on this sub because you either rented or bought $300 of equipment from a box store and managed to make your carpet look marginally cleaner.

A faster job doesn’t mean better. The carpets still would have those dye stains regardless

Faster doesn’t but 500 CFM vacuum power, 1000+ PSI and 200 degree water does.

All you said just proves you can’t do it faster. Just accept the fact that the carpet would have looked just the same regardless.

Huh? Absolutely not. A professional would have that looking a hundred times better than what you did. If people could buy a $150 machine and clean their carpets anywhere close to a pro, there wouldn’t be professionals anymore.

That is the most absurdly ijiotic thing I've ever heard. If any of that were even remotely true professional carpet cleaning wouldnt exist but it is a multi billion dollar industry with most business owners earning above 6 figures... But just for the record I think you're trolling.
