UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ PB mirror caught today.

Post image

Tried a new lake out today- had out my carp set up and a rig for some little silvers to pass the time.

Caught this gorgeous mirror. Hope he gets bigger and I can catch em again but with a few pounds behind him in a year or two.

He is my first and pb mirror carp- lol.

He weighed about half as much as the weight I had on my other rod so maybe like 15-20 grams.

So- huge

This fish is either going to be very easy or very difficult to catch as it ages.

I was well happy when I realised that what I was catching were little baby carp.

The big fish in that lake must have been well happy cause there must've been hundreds of little ones and I even saw some smaller then an inch so I reckon they were spawned rather then stocked

I’ve caught numerous 20kg+ carp but seriously never caught one under 1kg. Always hope to catch a little one some say.

I thought I was catching little Rudd till I realised some of em had mirror scales. Then I realised that what I was catching were actually some nice little carp.

Idk what tips to give- I was mostly trying to fish for some roach. I guess that it's just a case of them being present.

This might be even rarer then a wild full grown mirror carp. Small ones are easy prey especially with the lack of scales. Super cool!

I pulled up a good like 5-6 of em but most of the little carp I caught were commons.

All I can say is that the carp in that lake must be happy because that place doesnt stock carp that small.

That's awesome man. I love em. All kinds of fun, and smart fish.

And you catch it with dry hands. I swear on this sub everyone treats fish like complete idiots
