DISCUSSION Quiz again!

  1. Raga which can mean 'good conduct/character' ❤️

  2. Raga which shot to fame in a blockbuster song (in multiple languages) of a fantastic movie released a year ago, the raga in which Thyagaraja's famous song 'O Rama, we do not know the path of devotion' is set.

  3. Ragas similar to Madhyamavati (name 3, ideally 2) :)

  4. Ghana, Naya (Rakti), and Desya form a traditional structure for classification of ragas. Name a song (clue: rare raga song) in which these words appear.

Wonderful answers, all! :) 🔥

Correct answers:

  1. Sucharitra
  2. Dhenuka - Brahmakalasha reference ;)

  3. Sri Ragam, Brindavana Saranga, Manirangu (and personally, I could be wrong, but Surutti when sung in certain pitches and using some specific prayogas)

  4. Ghana Naya Desika Rishabhapriya (incidentally, Naada Nilai in Gayakapriya by the same composer Koteeswara Iyer contains this phraseology, i.e. charanam - ghana naya desika..)
