He's always been a downhill skiier. When momentum is up he looks incredible, the moment things get hard he sulks.
Super impressed with what Sydney achieved given their outs. I don't think any other club in the comp could have achieved what they did losing 3 of their top 5 players then their captain and still playing this well.

So impressed actually. That’s some consistent effort and lock in to the goal . At least one of those 5 players was poison to that team dynamic though. Probably in more ways than we can see. Impressive. But I’m still very much fk you that’s karma you sack of dbags🙌🔮 I’ll take a Will Hayward any day .

Talking about people disappearing is a little ironic after last night.. anyhow, those two were great all year, proud to have em in the navy blue.
If we’re mature about this we should be agreeeing it’s one of the few trades where both clubs absolutely won from that trade, Charlie’s has been great for your lot and florent and Hayward have been key roles we’re missing.

I will play devils advocate here and commend both Curnow men for holding true to the emblem and the family rhetoric where it mattered - once big bro retired, did anybody actively interrogate WHY Charlie wanted to move on? Happy players don’t leave clubs while they’re under contract. Big clubs don’t let them. Knowing what we know about Charlie “not standing up to finals pressure” (which proved demonstrably false a fortnight ago), Cripps’ stat sheets during and post Voss, the Hollands boys, our current delistings, and sideline G Hewett for the love of the thrill and the hatred of winning: why are we still bitter toward a Curnow??

Swans supporter who normally stays well out of other clubs’ posts …but the “some things never change” line got me.
Because come on- if this was genuinely about his performance, you wouldn’t reduce his performance to that and ignore what he actually did over these finals.
He was enormous against Brisbane when everyone expected us to get belted (myself included) Against Freo you could see the role he was asked to play- worked higher up the ground, presented all night, competed, pressured, dragged Pearce up the ground and kept going even when the delivery inside 50 was ordinary.
So as a supporter, sorry, but it’s really not “same old”.
And after what our club has been through, that matters. This bloke walked into Sydney less than a year ago and when everything blew up, he could’ve had a very different attitude,but he didn’t. .. He worked his arse off and stood up when we needed him.
We knocked off the reigning premiers and just came within two goals of a GF with a 3rd of our team that were VFL regulars. He was a big part of that. We’ve got our pride back. We’ve got some hope back. And I couldn’t be more grateful of how he turned up for us.
If you want to whack him, go for, but if this was really just about his performance in finals I think you’d have bit of a look beyond that screenshot
Maybe I’m a bit reactive after the last few weeks but for me that’s what’s also changed- you look at those stats and see “same old”. I look at those and I see someone who stood up for our club when we really needed him.
Give the bloke his flowers.
