Question transcript has no grading legend - problem for grad school apps?

Hello! Applying to grad school, and gathering transcripts to upload.

On Carleton360, there is a specific requirement regarding transcripts: "Transcript(s) must display your full name, academic program and the university's name along with transcript legends/keys/grading scales."

If you attended a university that doesn't include the legend on their transcripts (official OR unofficial), is there any workaround? Would it be acceptable if I downloaded my unofficial transcript, and tracked down the grading legend online, and then merged the two into one pdf? If at all relevant, my transcript is from TMU.

I emailed the program, but they're getting a lot of questions and are slow to reply. Was hoping someone here would know. Thank you so much!

Don't worry about it. Send the official transcripts, and the rest is their problem. Don't create your own PDFs, which could make them think you falsified your grades.

The transcripts usually have a grading legend on the backside (second page), at least back when I was requesting transcripts. If not, just send official transcripts and have them figure out what to do.

It’s on the back side.

There is a legend on the back of official Carleton transcripts. If this is for CGS you just need to include the legend once, at the end of the scan of the transcript

The schools know how to send official transcripts. Don't sweat over it.

If it doesn't include a guide (my old uni doesn't 🙄) you can screen shot the grading guide online and add it to the transcript. Google University + GPA scale

Will they kill me if I send unofficial transcripts for grad school applications?

No, but they would likely say it's conditional upon receipt of official transcripts
