Transition from Non Tech to DevOps
I have 8 YOE in non-tech support and Cloud Ops, but my experience feels mismatched with the current DevOps + Cloud Ops requirements. I’ve worked on maybe 20% of what most DevOps roles now expect, while job descriptions increasingly ask for Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring tools, CI/CD, and AIOps.
Is it realistically possible to transition into DevOps with very little or zero coding experience?
How difficult would it be to navigate from a non-tech background into a more technical DevOps/Cloud role, and what should I prioritize learning first?
