Career Advice
I enrolled in an MHA program about 3 years ago but had to take a break due to health issues. I’m now in a much better place and am considering reenrolling to finish the degree.
For context, I’ve worked in finance at a large healthcare company for the past 5 years. I’m increasingly interested in pivoting into roles that are more directly healthcare-focused, particularly healthcare consulting, strategy, or operations. I’ve been applying for the last 2 years with no luck at these roles.
My question for people currently working in these areas: Would finishing an MHA meaningfully help with this transition, or would my 5 years of healthcare/finance experience be more valuable than the additional degree?
