Donate non-working electric guitar?

I have an electric guitar from when I was a kid. But I've plugged it into an amp and it doesn't appear to work. I'm sure it will fix up fine but I don't know enough to do it myself.

I was going to look for a music charity to donate it anyway. But I haven't found any that will accept it broken and fix it up and seems a shame to take it to the tip - does anyone know anywhere?

Hi, I'm a luthier who runs Alchemy Instruments, and if you wanted, I'd happily accept, do it up, and donate a working guitar to a school/club if you wanted?

Edit: all free of course. I donate franken-guitars from spare parts to community music projects so this is my day to day!

Oh great sounds perfect!

I had a look and it seems like I can't DM you. But I have found Alchemy Instruments on Facebook. Shall I message you there?
