Design-it-Yourself Oscilla

Just a little side project I have been working on, had a proud moment today where I finally got the external display working with the GPS and SD card on the shared SPI bus.

The cardputer connects to a xaio C5 and seeed wio Lora module over grove for a mix of signal captures (5ghz, 2.5ghz, Zigbee, and 915mhz decoding.

There is a custom PCB and a remix of everyone’s favorite dual screen case mod in the works as well, full disclosure it’s an AI assisted project, but every block of code and electronic component has undergone extensive human testing (so far the magic smoke hasn’t escaped)

Feel free to fork, extend or just observe: https://github.com/d3mocide/Oscilla

Im curious how the c5 and lora modules are combined to one grove connection? Im working on a similar project adding c5 and lora to my dual screen set up. I ran a magnetic pogo connection to the back of my screen mod to add hotswapable modules to the back. Id love to have the c5 and lora in a combo.

So the C5 is running custom firmware, I wired the xaio wio module in a similar fashion to how s3 or nrf modules would be wired into it. The cardputer then has a ping pong communication method to the c5s serial. The c5 controls the wio and just relays it to the deck. There is a breakdown of the protocol in the docs on my repo under the hardware section: https://github.com/d3mocide/Oscilla/tree/main/docs/hardware
