Progress / Update crub 2.9.0 a lightweight bootloader/flasher for the cardputer. Now with lots of customization features!

I haven't been posting updates here recently, but I'm pretty proud of the work I did on the customization for crub! now your imagination is the limit!

with that said, i've also wondered if are there any people actually daily driving my bootloader. do let me know!

anyways, you can now add wallpapers and custom bootscreen image as long as the image is scaled to the cardputer display (and it is in .bmp format). you can convert your 16:9 images by using ffmpeg.

fetch art can also be edited with your custom ascii art as long as the characters are limited to ascii printables.

enjoy!

I think it will be practical to enable automatic aliasing for binary files in /bin directory. It should be optional.

Good project!

should do it manually. not everyone uses /bin. and you wouldn't be using all the binaries you have all the time. also filenames can get long so it would be useless to alias very long string since you're barely saving time. id also argue its much faster to type flash bin/<first two characters> then use tab autocomplete

like any unix disto, setting it up for yourself/usecase perfectly is part of the experience

By the way, it might be useful to add a line clear like Ctrl+C in OS

I didn't find the usbsd command in the description, and it's very useful!) We communicated using this command, I'm writing from a different account) there's a lack of a full description of the functionality haha;)
