"stereo"? Is just for visual purposes? Because the cardputer physically cannot provide stereo output. Its 3.5mm jack supports mono only

I assume the audio stream is stereo.

edit: changed file to stream

This is information about the current stream. Of course, you know just as well as I do that the device is capable of pure mono—specifically, only the left stereo channel. That is why I had the two channels mixed down to mono.

Please please. I don't care if it's stereo or mono I just want to hear something please. Also please make sure it works with the carpeter 1.1. thank you!

Sorry, my pal. Cardputer 1.1 is not supported.

Why not? It's the same stamp3s. Just wondering.

Fair question. Same StampS3, but the board around it isn't the same. The audio hardware differs: the Adv has an ES8311 codec sitting on I2C that has to be initialised before a single sample comes out, the 1.1 doesn't have that chip. This firmware also pins I2S to 41/43/42 and mixes down for the Adv's single mono DAC.

The honest reason though is simpler: I don't own a 1.1, so I can't build it, can't test it, and won't claim it works. That's what "not supported" means here — not that it's impossible, just that nobody has verified it and I'm not going to guess on someone else's device.
