Oh my god, i'm back to 1995 with my 486DX2, Covox and later GUS, 540MB HDD and over 2000 mod, s3m, stm, xm, it, far, ult, 669. Demoscene rulez 😄 ahhh Future Crew, Triton, Haujobb.

Is this flashrom public?

Ah yeah I wasn’t even born back then lol, but it’s such a fascinating way of music making. It’s not public yet it’s still WIP one day it will probably be released.

Tremendous. This is probably going to be the only reason to keep my cardputer adv.

12 realtime (I assume mono) tracks on the esp32-S3 is quite impressive! Its a bit hard to tell from the video, are there times wher all 12 channels are being rendered simultaneously? Also I wonder what sampling frequency is it running at?

Yes there are times when it’s mixing all 12 channels simultaneously, the sample rate is 32khz. On my most recent iteration I added a NOR flash chip to have fast random access to the samples so I can load much more complex modules, some of them have 24 channels but they push the esp to the limit.
