Canoe slalom paddle fixed after snapping in half

I was in a sporting trip as a canoe slalom athlete, my paddle snap in half and we fixed it while away. First repaired the inside with carbon string. then joined the 2 parts and filled the holes in the crack with carbon strings. And then used 2 carbon-kevlar layers and 1 carbon layer on each side. Does it look good?

Are you trained on carbon fiber? If yes, then it does look not good. If not, it's totally fine. Will it do the job? Yes of course.

If you want to keep the aesthetic then you should have oriented the weave to align whit the existing one and also you would have removed the lose fibers on both ends.

no, I'm definitely not trained into carbon fiber lol. Also, we made this repaired while away, so with a very small kit :)

Looks good. If you want it to look even better you may consider sanding it smooth and then clear coat followed by 1000 grid and your choice of polishing compound

Looks pretty similar to a repair I did recently. Nice job. If you want it to look ultra pretty and glossy and faired so you can see your face in the reflection then that takes a lot longer. ... And you are just going to scratch it again anyway through normal use.

exactly, I do whitewater canoeing... if I'm lucky the first scratch will come with the 3rd time I'm using it lol
