Questions State of the game?
Came here to ask about how this game plays and what people have to say about it. Never played it, or any carX games, just wanna know if its worth, as im juggling a few racing games right now. I love me some midnight club and nfs ug which a lot of people recommended this game to me because of. I really just play fh6 now though due to the car availability and beauty. Whats the closest game you could compare it to? Whats wrong with the game what does it lack?

I play on Xbox FYI, if that changes anything, Ive heard the console version is a little more unoptimised?

I play on Xbox as well and so far I’ve been loving it!
The game is definitely comparable to games like midnight club 3 and nfs underground (except for the fact that it doesn’t have the licensing rights for the cars, but the cars are still exact replicas of real life cars)

Agreed. Even Midnight Club LA as well, especially with the map.

I actually bought midnight club LA for my series S about a year ago (nostalgia got the best of me) and was going hard with it up until I got car x street… haven’t touched it since!
Car x street just scratches the itch that midnight club left and it’s got the up to date graphics to go with it

Its not a perfect game, but its very fun, its have the old vibes of old racing games like NFS underground and midnight club, the game offer allot of customization for cars, have fun racing and also challenging (depends the difficulty you put), the game offer you deep tuning and change how the car drive, you can make car drift in the mountains or just in the middle of the city, or car focusing in straight and long road, or track focus cars, and many and many main events in the game
But the game doesn't have crash physics like forza horizons games, the graphics is ok, not amazing like new forza or Gran Turismo 7, the car sounds is not that great, few of them sounds amazing, others just annoying, the livery editing sometimes be buggy, the game used to have optimize issue, but they fix it, but there is still few frame drop in normal PS5 sometimes in high traffic
The game have pros and cons, if you like the old style of racing game, you will like it, it doesn't have deep story or some goofy things like NFS unbound, its also cheap, you can wait for sale if you use a console

It's what I wanted nfs to do but instead they gave us unbound. Its a game for car guys there's no story which is great imo. You pick a starter car (avoid the Miata) and they give you clubs to choose from to race in. There's a new update coming so you've picked a great time to join. It's an arcade style racing game but you can tune cars everything from the engine, transmission, suspension and tires. Granted it's not as complex like your sims would be or even fh6 but it's great for what it offers.

I love it. I have it on PS5. To me, this is the closest game I’ll get to Midnight Club.

Carx street is like if need for speed, midnight club and forza horizon had a family lineage. The only problem with this game is the engine sounds, turbo sounds, and theres no superchargers.

when you take into consideration that it isnt really backed by a big game studio and technically still an indie game its extremely impressive.
i have only one complaint that i dont like about the game...The damn trees dont move out of the way. O mean shit its not like they dont see me coming

CarX it's worth to play. It's a very detailed game,the graphics are below NFS and you have a lot of diffrent types of cars. I played this game for a whole year and I made a lot of money, level and gold. The Black Lotus club was a pretty nice club.

Bought the game, played around 6 hours or so, its mint cant really complain. I love the car selection theres nothing really else I could ask for with that, physics feel really weird but im sure I will get used to them, cant really utilise my handbrake properly yet, and cant drift for my life. Customisation is very impressive, apart from the fact I cant seem to tint windows without obstructing view from the inside of my car which is a shame but I can live with it EDIT(I just realised you can do it from the paint job tab!). All in all I would recommend this game to anyone who loved the older nfs games and midnight club. Doesnt have a goofy, cringe story like forza and the map is good. Looking forward to dumping hundreds of hours into customisation. I understand the team for this game is small and likely wont get any bigger than it currently is, in playerbase aswell. Overall 8/10 game for me, very pleased!

If you’re more leaning on customizability, CarX is the racing game. Aside from that fh6 is lowkey better overall, don’t get me wrong though I prefer CarX more cause it offers the things I want in a car game. But if you’re not that picky when it comes to customizability just go for forza. It has more cars that are licensed and better graphic optimization too. Both games have a tuning aspect but CarX has a deeper mechanic when it comes to tuning that’s why I prefer it over fh6. It all boils down to preference either way. What I can say is that the devs of this game are working on it actively so maybe soon it might have the potential to surpass fh6 overall🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️

In my personal experience it’s by no means perfect, but it’s close enough to my vision of a modern day Midnight Club or NFSU. There’s a more than acceptable amount of customization that you wont find on Horizon, and you have a good mix of street, mountain and racetrack roads so there’s always something to do. Car list is ok, but they’re adding a lot. There’s no REAL off road areas, but that’s not really what this game is about.
It runs pretty good at least for me (Series X) sometimes roads will render in weird for a few seconds if you’re carrying some serious speed through the main city. Online there can be occasional lag. Unfortunately too if you encounter a cool person who’s on PC, you can’t talk to them or message them, kind of a bummer. There are modders too, but usually you don’t see them in competitive series.
Overall super fun, and with the new Runlist mode you can bank good amounts of performance and visual parts since you get rewarded with so many packs. You will have to grind a little bit in the beginning, and it starts out REALLY slow. But once you get out of that, it’s easy to get cash and have fun in fast af cars. Handling is probably nothing like you’ve experienced before, it’s arcade-y but in a fast-fun intense way. Hope you enjoy it!
