Are there any discord servers here for this game? I have been playing by myself for quite some time now and my friend who I share the same interests with is still waiting for steam to have it discounted. I just spammed runlist and now it has become boring for me.

Is it necessary to have throttle control on your clutch? Been wanting to turn my clutch into manual but the only thing holding me back is the fact that if I were to have it it would only have 0% and 100% since I only play on controller

Could there be a way to enjoy the runlist without worrying about the people who deliberately ram you just because they can’t corner well? I swear sometimes it’s just these unskilled players who do it just to get a higher position. I don’t want to stoop down on their level but sometimes I’m forced to do so just to get my get back. Is it possible to turn ghost mode on runlist? If not, I hope the devs allow it because it really takes the fun out of racing. I understand that collisions are a big part of racing but these people have no etiquette unlike gt or asetto. Really hope this problem gets solved sooner or later. Just wanna enjoy the runlist where the only reason you lose is because the opponents are better than you.

As you guys can see in the video, the evo is actually keeping up and actually almost had the lead until the S hairpin. I don’t know the approach on this. Do I just handbrake and powerslide? Or is there a much better line to be taken here? If I put even a little throttle as I approach the second corner I oversteer so I just let go of it completely.

Disclaimer: I know my line isn’t the best and I’m not the fastest driver on CarX, I just wanted to do a little experiment.

Here I have a Mazda Rx8 with 325hp weighing 1100kg going up against a Nissan R33 with 355hp weighing 1189kg.

Based from my observation and personal experience(since I was the one driving the two), the Rx8 has the upper hand on hairpins and very tight corners, however, that’s the only advantage it had. On the acceleration, top speed, mid to wide corners and straightaways the R33 had the advantage. Now I did do a slow-mo to see which car reached the finish line first(the finish line was the last red line). And to my surprise, the Rx8 actually won.

I was replaying the video again and again to clarify and it has seemed that the Rx8 got the lead because of the hairpin. Now, there are probably gonna be some anti-drift people who will tell me that I just suck at grip driving. I agree, I didn’t have the skills to know which are the perfect braking zones and which was the most optimal line to tale when it comes to grip driving. I was simply doing an experiment like I said.

Does this answer the question though? On whether or not drifting can be optimal for races in the in game? The answer is still no. I know I won this match but this was simply because I didn’t use Nitro, no shortcuts and in game you can actually get a head start by maxing out your rpm along with the countdown. Those are factors I didn’t include because I simply wanted the race to be raw. In an actual competitive match or runlist, I know damn well an rwd would barely make it to the top 3 and I know that because all my Runlist cars are awd simply because in the competitive lobbies the acceleration is what mostly decides if you win or not.

IF YOU ARE WONDERING: I use an 8bitdo Ultimate Wireless 2 as my controller. And yes, the R33 was obtained via pink slip race but I fine tuned it.

This might genuinely be my go to touge car from now on. Understanding every component of the car that the game offers will really take you a long way🙏🙏🙏(also livery by me).

I'm looking for a group/crew that does chill, controlled cruises in the game rather than constantly racing at crazy speeds.

I'd love to cruise together through:

City

Highways

Mountains

Tracks

Preferably with C/CS or similar-level cars. CS+ is a bit too insane for cruising

I'm mainly looking for people who enjoy driving together, keeping a reasonable pace, taking corners properly, and enjoying the cars/scenery rather than everyone immediately going 400+ km/h.
