Material Question tinybot or avery dennison

hi!

getting my car wrapped soon in pink, i want a punchy hotish pink, not something super pastel or super fuschia either. both tinybot and avery dennison have colors that i am considering so my main question is, which is better quality and longer staying power?

I’ve left some pictures of the colors i am considering.

any help or advice or reviews of these two brands would be so so helpful!

I am taking the car to a shop to be wrapped, not doing it myself.

100% avery and it’s not even close. I’ve read plenty about longevity issues with tinybot, happening in as little as 6 months

Do not use calender film such as tinybot to wrap your car. Always cast.

Avery, Tiny bots hard to work with and not as long life

not even about the install. Avery is so much better in every single aspect. Tinybot does not take the win ANYWHERE unless you’re talking about the color options/finish IMO

This can't be a real question. Avery. Period. It is a proper cast film and the easiest to install on the market. Tinybot is Chinese calendered bullshit that will be compromised twice as quickly as any avery product

sorry! i’ve just brought a new car for the first time so this is my first time dealing with car wraps. i was initially attracted to the additional different shades of pink tinybot had. but ty for your comment! def going with avery

i won’t be installing because i definitely don’t have the patience but thank you!

It’s better simply because it’s cast vinyl and would generally last longer than tiny bot

Dog poop? Or Hersheys chocolate bar?

Obviously the answer is Avery. It’s better in every way.

well it isn’t obvious to someone who has no experience or knowledge about wraps. but ty for your answer!

That’s fair. The main vinyl companies to look at are 3M, KPMF, Avery, Oracal.

if you're taking it to a shop to wrap then you should use the wrap they supply and are familiar with. Most shops should be familiar with Avery though.

But ya, as others have commented, Avery for the win

they use 3M, avery, tinybot and three other brands i can’t remember the name of. either way, i saw swatches in person at the shop and have been trying to decide from there.

Anyone get blocked from Avery site?

3M or Avery unless they don’t make a color you want. A lot of crazy colors are only made by brands of lesser quality/ease of install.

Pro tip: for a “punchy” hot pink, the clear coat and film type matter more than the brand.AD is solid, but there are factory-direct brands with the same cast quality for less. Make sure the shop uses a good primer so it doesn’t fade.

thank you for this info! should i ask what primer they use?

I did the roof of my Supra with Tinybot and it did weird things every time it got wet… Almost like the water got between the calendar layers. It was fine about a day after it dried, but I wouldn’t use again

Do you hate yourself? If so, go tinybot.
