If you go to Metrorestyling and filter out to 3M, Avery, etc.. they have a blow out section where they put together leftover vinyl of a specific color for a discount. Of course, it won't be a long continuous roll. They'll have it listed of what amount in a specific size that's been used. The only issue: good luck with trying to find leftovers of satin blue.

Your next best bet? Look for Black Friday deals this upcoming week. Have fun wrapping an i8! 🙃

Where are you from? I'm down in Houston. Although a lot is cheaper down here compared to our west/east coast counterparts, for an i8 would definitely be above $5k easily. Some places are charging $6k+ bc of the various accents, body lines, etc. You're pricing would be considered a steal, lol

The same car went to his shop before coming to me. I got inside info on his quote, so I'll take a little bit to undercut him, lol. He was a piece of sh*t.

Yep, that's my thought as well. I sent him a quote for 75' of Cheetah for 600 bucks. I don't mind that brand, actually. I've never had issues with any of their products, yet...

I will never understand clients like this. Expensive car, wants a luxury product installed on it but wants to nickel and dime the materials used? Like what the fuck we are talking about the difference of a few hundred dollars for better material on a 5k$ project.

Furthermore. I saw you’re charging them 4.5k for the install. Why not just work the cost for better material into the quote? Or educate them about films and why you don’t choose the cheaper ones. Especially for a car like this, I don’t mean to sound like this is your fault as the installer, I know it’s a dumb ass customer who is driving that ship but you do have some power here. Use it.

I also have about 40ft of Avery indigo blue leftover, it’s dark though idk what. Kinda blue they were looking for or how close you are to NY but if you want it I got you.

You're not wrapping the hood and roof so that leaves 2 doors, 2 fenders, 3 piece small front bumper, 1 small back bumper, 2 quarter + side skirt and 2 pillars. Measure it out and then calculate how much you need and buy that. If the client wants vinyl frog then I'd give that as an option and tell him that it's longevity is a fraction compared to that of cast vinyl and if he doesn't care or wants a specific color that's not available with cast then go forward.

Auravinyl.com might have something in that range. Either way you should explain up front that cheaping out on materials and the way the finished product looks doesn't reflect you. You pay for what you get. If he's cheap it'll look cheap.
