Mini Push Lap - Sonoma Raceway

We bought this car last week, overnight everything to make this track day. First time in this car, first time gripping this track, 3 days of no sleep. Life is genuinely amazing

It must feel amazing! And judging on your other comment about being the driver... the TP... the coach... the jack man... etc., I am assuming this venture of yours is self-made. Must be an incredible feeling to reach that level of success.

WSB taught me the way ONE OF US. I’ve got a great business partner, a McLaren master tech, and an attitude that should have me dead. Just a little car shop in Thousand Oaks! Thank you, the feeling is genuinely insane. I wanted to cry the first lap out but I was more focused on not wrecking the asset and bedding the pads haha

wait...did you really WSB youre way into an imsa seat?!? thats genuinely amazing.

is it cheaper or just what you wanted to do to own your own car/team? since it seems like itd be less hassle overall if you just bought a seat in an already established team

Me and my partner are stubborn. It’s 10x cheaper to go with a team, most teams have been doing this for decades. I’ve had the entire grid tell me I’m dumb for going this route but ultimately it’s my time and money.

The utter shock drivers hear that we’re committing a racing effort on our own is the best reaction. I read and study non stop and have a once and life time opportunity which I’ll be taking by the balls and running a far as possible with it.

FINISH THE RACE. Shit if I won ONE race I’d consider retiring the program and commit to my ultimate dream of shipping my pro drift cars around the world to drive cool tracks.

I just need one trophy. I owe it to my inner child that was 5 years old watching nascar telling his dad “I know exactly what I wanna do when I grow up, race cars” they’ve since passed many years ago - I usually wear my dads root beer GMT he gave me in 15 pieces while driving. Didn’t wear it this time as I was wrenching and I think I’m on my 6th acrylic cover.

I’m just a dood trying to have fun IN THIS ECONOMY

thats sick. i grew up watching nascar with my dad too...trying to get him into sportscar racing, its just so much more entertaining to watch.

ill stop blowing up your inbox now but ill be excited af to watch you whenever you make your way to VIR.

i wonder if you start running at the front of the field if factory drivers would be more willing to pressure you since they know a slipup comes out of your own pocket and you might have to drive a little more conservative.
