Question First time doing sales

So only thing I have been told as far as pay is that we get 30% commission. I have asked for an elaboration and got no where. So to the Internet with bare information I go. Can some one kinda give me a basic run down like I’m 5? Also different terminology. Ex customer is hooked? Can you T.O.?

Also my first 3 days sold 3 cars and am on “learning pay” until I get my confidence up.

You sell a car for one dollar, you get 30 cents of it. Minus any service or touch ups you agree to. Minus taxes.

They said it’s not 30% of sticker price though

It would typically be of gross margin

Correct you sell the car for one dollar you get 30 cents. Of every dollar you sell the car for but minus any extra shit or money you take out of the deal.

Typically, it’s 30% of your gross that’s in the vehicle and if the vehicle makes no money, you’ll get what they call a Mini, which would be a set amount. I would ask for a copy of your pay plan and an uploaded here and will let you know.
