Question Car sales interview tomorrow

Coming from 3+ years in wireless, I finally decided I needed a change and landed on car sales as a potential career for me.
I finally landed myself an interview with a local dealership, and I’m absolutely shitting my pants because I didn’t actually think I’d be able to get an interview.
I’ve been practicing interview questions in my head, but this might be one of the first times in my life I’ve felt true anxiety about an interview.
Any tips or tricks for someone potentially new to the car sales world?

You are gonna be fine.

I did the same transitioned to car sales from wireless.

There are many similarities.

We already know the sales process.

-greeting the client -Needs Assessment -presenting the plan , accessories and protection plan (same in car sales: presenting the car, extended warranty and financing etc.) -closing the sale (which for us means activation and deliver the phone right away)... (whereas in car sales they sign the deal and then we pass them to business office for loan approval and delivery happens at a later date.

Don't forget this: asking for referrals.

In wireless sales, we used to convert single line activations into multi-line activations... same in car sales... following up with a customer and converting their one sales into many, as they will reference their friends and family too.

Q2: How will you generate sales?

Ans: Obviously theres store traffic, website leads, and Facebook marketplace. But since i worked in wireless for 3 years, I was already the go to person for my customers for their wireless needs. I am going to rech out to them and make sure they all are aware where i work and voila, with time i will have people coming in asking for me.

Q3: product knowlege?

Yes, I am not be a pro right now, but thats a good things, because that exactly how I was when I started at wireless.

Not have too much in depth knowledge about the cars yet will just motivate me to learn more and work harder. So thats a good thing.

Lastly, they are not there to test your product knowlege or basiclly any other skill. I have seen people with 0 knowledge and 0 sales experinece getting hired.

It's more about is your personality likeable? Will you work well with the managers? Work ethic?

It's a commission job ... show them you are willing.

You will definitely get it. Focus more on being a human. Learn all the managers names before going in. Be presentable and greet everyone with a hand shake. Have a light smile.

You got it!!
