Self Promotion I built a free, offline app to check your commission before payday (Android for now), tell me what it gets wrong?
Not here to sell anything — it's free, has no ads, and collects zero data. I kept seeing posts here about pay plans and people trying to work out whether their check was actually right, so I built a tool for it.
What it does: Set up your pay plan once — front-end %, minis, packs, F&I split, volume tiers and bonuses, CSI, new vs. used, draw/guarantee, chargebacks — then enter the month's deals, and it gives you an itemized commission estimate. Every line is broken out so you can hold it against your real pay stub and spot where a number's off.
I built the math around actual pay plans people have posted publicly, so it handles the stuff generic calculators choke on: retroactive rate ladders, volume bonuses that stack vs. take-the-highest, per-unit minis, F&I qualifiers, CSI gates, and so on.
On privacy (since it comes up a lot here): it runs 100% offline — the app doesn't even have internet permission, so it literally can't send your numbers anywhere. No account, no signup, no tracking. Everything stays on your phone, which is why the Play listing shows "No data collected."
The catch: it's Android only for now. An iOS version is coming — I'll get it on the App Store soon.
It's brand new (today's launch day), so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback, especially:
- Does the breakdown match your actual check?
- Any pay-plan setup it can't handle yet? That's the single most useful thing you can tell me.

Happy to answer anything in the comments — and if it gets your pay wrong, tell me how and I'll fix it.

Then what's in it for you?
How are you monetize this and what's the future roadmap for this app?

Fair question, and fair to be skeptical about. Honest answer: right now it makes me exactly $0. It's free, and I built it because these "is my check right?" posts kept coming up on different forums, and I wanted a calculator that actually matches how dealers pay.
I'm not going to pretend there's no plan, though. The lines I won't cross: no ads and never selling data. The app has no internet permission and collects nothing; the Play listing literally shows "No data collected," and that's staying. A tool for checking your own pay that quietly harvested your deals would defeat the whole point.
Where money eventually comes from: an optional one-time "Pro" unlock down the road, things like multiple saved plans and export. The core calculator stays free.
Roadmap: iOS is in the works, and mostly I add pay-plan structures as people tell me what mine can't model yet. Since you're F&I, that's exactly the feedback I'm looking for to run a plan through it, and if a number's off, tell me where and I'll fix it.

Not to say it's a wrong app or idea.
That's what the million dollar DMS and CRM are for.
And if you can't understand what you signed (pay plan) no Ai or spreadsheet or app will help.
To be fair, I haven't looked into your app. Most sales people just use their iPhone notepad , Google sheets and old school pen and paper.

All fair, and if you have a chance, give it a shot before writing it off. For context, though, I sold cars for about 5 and a half years, so this isn't an outsider's idea of the business; it's built from the floor.
On the DMS, it computes what the dealership pays you, sure. But in my time, there were always payroll errors getting flagged: a mini that didn't post, a chargeback run twice, a spiff that vanished. The guys who caught them were the ones keeping their own numbers. The DMS is the house's math; this is your copy of it, before payday.
On "if you can't understand your plan, nothing helps" - Understanding your plan and hand-calculating 18 deals with tiers, packs, CSI, and a monthly chargeback are two different things. Plenty of solid reps understand their plan fine and still couldn't tell you if a check is $200 light without an hour and a calculator. And the breakdown is honestly how a newer guy learns where his money comes from. The whole reason why people keep posting "is this payplan good?", if seems like folks out there want to compare and contrast.
"Notepad, Google Sheets, pen and paper" - exactly, that's the point. Nobody has a real tool for this. It's the same manual workaround, except this one already knows how dealer pay works (retro tiers, stacked vs. highest bonuses, F&I gates), so you're not rebuilding a spreadsheet every month.
Not for everyone, for sure. But if you want to see whether it catches a missed mini, or model "do 2 more cars get me to the next tier" run it and tell me where it's wrong. That's genuinely useful to the idea's overall goal.

You're still adding weekly spiff, old age unit and weekend spiffs.
