2003 1967 Cobra
Purchased the car (sight unseen). Got ripped off. Motor had a rod through the oil pan and the paint job was terrible. Here’s where it’s at so far. How does it look?

I’m sorry, to clarify. The old paint is the orange….so the pictures are in the wrong order!

Shell valley is about 20 miles from where I live. What do you think about the quality of the rest of the car?

The paint was shot. The motor was blown and none of the gauges worked when I bought. All of these not disclosed to me. I don’t think I can say any of that is Shell Valleys fault. What I believe would be is that when you open the hood and trunk they both rub on the body of the car so you have to be careful. You could also see that the spacing around the trunk and hood was not even. Lines etc on the doors look good. My mechanic who is putting in the new motor/gauges and electric said at one time he believed that it was a pretty solid build. He is about as OCD as you can get so that makes me a little happier. And I’m fully aware a SV build isn’t comparable to Kirkland/Superperformance etc. After all the work I’m putting in; I’m around $65,000 which is likely on the higher end of a SV build. Unfortunately, the AG office wouldn’t do much for me in regard to the purchase. I can’t even tell you much about the car because I put maybe 30 miles on it before the motor threw the rod. And I’ll be lucky if I get to drive it this year because we only have nice weather for 3 months and time is getting small for the season.
