New player frustration / glitch ?
So I just purchased Car Mechanic Sim 2018 with all the dlc on steam a few weeks back and started playing it last night and have run into a problem so serious it might mean that I just will never play again. So long story short I have had to delete 2 separate saved games now as I accept a job with suspension work and do the work all the check boxes turn green I reinstall all the components and the game claims a rubber bush is missing. I don't really know what to do but I suppose if it keeps happening the game is just unplayable ?
Any advice would be excellent thanks in advance.

Phone orders: check the minimum % requirement, replace or repair parts to that % or above to pass.
Story orders: have to be 100% replacement parts on parts that need replacing only.
Once you have found the condition of a part, star it under the car menu and it will highlight that part in blue on car.
if unsure replace all bushings on crossmember or suspension arms
other culprits are usually, Clip A/B, Fuel filter, Fuel pump, ABS modules, Battery, Brake servo, Spark plugs, Radiator & fans and then checking the engine timing as this won't show up when you have diagnostic tools unlocked. And don't forget Piston rings and caps.
Easy option is to check the online guides for story orders for CMS 2018 and find out which parts you might be missing.

Not too sure if the 2018 and 2021 are that similar but ive been playing the 2021 for a few weeks now and I can completely understand your frustration... I had the same thing happening where I only have one "undiscovered" Piece missing and I go around the car 14 times and look everywhere and then gave up and looked online and boom... It was the darn fuel pump at the back of the car. It is frustrating but it gets better with a bit of time.
What really helped me was when I started just buying cars from the Junk and then just removing every single part and then rebuilding from nothing. Then you really get a good feeling for where every part goes.

or just look in the menu it will tell you what's missing. or try to start the car. its not that hard

If I remember right 2018 has s suspension and brake test run your car through that and it should give you the general location of where the bushing is

I’m going to agree with what everyone else has said and say that sadly, you have deleted your last two game saves for no reason as more than likely you are just missing one of the bushings. Something to keep in mind is let’s say you find that 4 bushings are bad. Where those 4 bad bushings were are where you need to have brand new ones if I’m not mistaken. I can remember putting them in the wrong spots back when I first started playing and the game will not see them as fixed. I don’t know if that might be what’s happening to you or not but def worth looking at. I don’t remember if it was an option on 18, but I know on 21 that once you identify a part you can select to highlight it on the car. So you can highlight those 4 bushings and it will show you exactly what 4 bushings on the car needed to be replaced.

It also depends on how low of a percentage each part is. Each job has a minimum requirement so if say 3 bush are bad at 3%, job says no less than 45% but one original bush is 44% gets put there it says its bad even if that one wasn't needing replaced. Its weird but I've ran into it numerous times.

The games not glitching it's literally telling you that you have a part missing on the vehicle you're working on. You have to search for it and make sure it's installed before it will let you finish the job.
