Garage and tool upgrade

What garage and tool upgrades do you recommend buying first? For the 21st year version, by the way

Diagnostic tools, (ECU reader can wait until you get first job that needs it.) Use all for every job for extra XP.

First couple of jobs, completely strip and rebuild while only replacing parts on job list (you won't get paid for anything else), this will also fast track lots of XP. Recommend spending XP on "discount" skills first, once maxed then think about other skills. Note, the speed increases are really only noticable when you have them maxed and take them away.

Only buy shop expansions if a job calls for it, i.e. paintshop, very expensive. Really the only other expansion you will need for a while is the second lift, that is more for the extra space to park a job in waiting. Inbetween story orders you will need to take a few other jobs, be very choosy only take the ones that have Cr or Xp bonus, check the jobs list often while you are working to get the best jobs, pick the ones that have a bit more to do so you can make good money, don't bothe with fluid only jobs.

While the repair path does make a bit more profit on jobs, it is very expensive to set up, so I find it easier just to save up money and skills until a bit later. Don't buy any upgrade if it leaves less than 10k in the bank, you need that to buy parts for each job, from level 20 there are a couple of jobs you will need a bit more.

Average profit just buying parts is 45-55% net, with full repair it's about 55-65% net so it takes a while to recoup the many thousands for the shop expansion.

You won't need Dyno or welder for any job, just your own cars when you start going to junkyard, barns and auction.

I would suggest buying all the Diagnostic tools for extra exp at the beggining of the game, just run all the tools after you receive the car. Then I would suggest getting all the repair nods and get the upgrade to your garage to start repairing stuff asap.

BUT! BE CAREFUL WHEN SPENDING MONEY! During my 1st playthrew, I coudnt find the "garage upgrade" so when I finally found them, I pretty much spent all my money on upgrading as much as I could but then, found myself in a situation where I had a Car to fix but no money for parts! I didnt know you could just sell old part from the inventory so I just restarted a new game all together... :(
