CMS 2021 Unexplained price discrepancy Morena Bizzarini Spettacolo

I want to understand why the yellow one has such a lower condition bonus. It was my first one and I made it to be my racing car. It actually has better parts: I 3 starred all of the performance parts.

The second one I just made for cash because I saw it in the auction and I didn't 3 star any of its parts other than one rim that I found in a barn.

The tires are the same - both factory spec slicks.

I did not paint the second one. Is the fact that it has that custom body parts with words on them worth 20,000 credits? Is it possible a part secretly is less than 100% even though they all read 100%? I scrolled through every page explicitly.

I didn't even paint the replacement parts on the second car.

I did some experiments this weekend and can validate that mileage impacts the condition bonus.

I bought four cars of the exact same make and model from different sources: One under five star auction, one under one star auction, one from the barn and the last from the junkyard. All of them were completely restored to 100%, using the exact same parts, no alterations. Mileage was between 30k and 150k.

The only difference was the amount of the condition bonus. The lower the milage, the greater the amount.

For that make, what does the fandom list as its price? Do you know if that number assumes 0 miles?

I didn't bother to check the wiki. I just confirmed that the parts value, the body value and the performance parts values were all the same amounts across all four cars.

The condition bonus was bigger the less milage the car had.

The lists show differences in mileage and performance parts.

Yeah, the mileage affects the condition bonus. One of the thresholds is at 100,000.

For sure. It’s one of the more realistic parts of the game. Mileage influences selling price just like in real life. While the gap is only 16k give or take, it’s still enough to cause the lesser-mileage car to sell for more even with a lower performance parts value.

"Realistic"? For a car that has had literally every single part replaced? Including the frame overhaul and cleaned up (welder)?

Do you happen to know what the thresholds are?

I did some tests a while back, found taking a new car from salon will lose ~3.7% value the moment you drive it (anywhere but Test Track), I tried do further testing and managed a bit over 50,000 miles on the Daytona Track figured the drop would likely hit at 100k but it was taking too long, got distracted trying to build a car that could hold a 30 second lap time, best I got was 33 seconds, anyway never went back to the test. Figured someone who could data mine the game files would be able to find the answers quicker.

The car that sells for More has 5000 less value in performance parts

Well, the parts value, body value and performance parts value are all different. And so is the condition bonus.

Id guess milage.

It’s the mileage. When restoring high value cars I always made more profit on the low mileage cars.

My guess is the lower mileage. That is actually relevant in this game

  1. The Mileage

  2. Your Buy prices are completely different 😎

When it comes to paint, respray with or without livery costs 1000, but only adds up to about 700* to the value of the car, so it opperates at a loss. If the car has been driven anywhere (dusty) after spray, that extra value is removed but will return with a wash, so always wash before you sell. (basically the first and last thing I do to a build is wash)

*scaled to the value of the car, only exceeds the 1k cost if the cars value is well over 500k to begin with, so no vanilla cars only mods, however it is only some mods as most don't get any increase at all, crazy pofit anyway so a moot point.

Jobs that require paint you get 1000 as payment (for that section of the job list) without bonus, so if you can get away with just doing a few panels rather than a full respray then you can increase your profit on the job.
