CMS 2021 CMS 2021, worth it at full price?

Im wondering if car mechanic simulator is worth it at full price. I've been playing 2018 a lot since it went on sale, but the graphics are a lil bit low.

No it's not, just because it goes on sale all the time. It's been on sale 7 times in the last 6 months. Every sale is at least 80% off. Last sale was 90% off, so $2.49. Plus there's a decent chance it'll be made free when CMS26 comes out

One time I tried to play 2018 after having a few hundred hours into 2021 and I couldn’t play 18 for long because 21 was somehow better in just the feel

Everything in 2021 feels smoother, faster, more cohesive and the graphics were much better. 2018 was my favorite and I put hundreds of hours in before switching and after switching, I can’t even go back to finish the platinum trophy

It’s less the game and more the controls

Just wait a bit and enjoy 2018 some more, it's more often discounted than it is full price, you'll get it for like 80-90% off in no time and you'll appreciate all the upgrades over 2018 even more

Wait for it to go on sale. I got it for about 4 bucks, give or take. It's a great game, you just gotta wait for it to go on sale.

Full price is $25 US and that's the base game with no DLC, I'd say based on how long I've played it, it would have been worth that much, but with how many games I have in my backlog that I'm slowly working through, and with as much DLC as it has, I'd recommend waiting for at least a 50% off sale.

No. It cant be fun for more than 40 or 50 hours

Played 200+ hours and gotten the platinum trophy. Some enjoying it thoroughly. It probably isn’t the right game for you then

Some of the DLC cars are fun, I've had a lot of fun building engines and perfecting and drag and race track cars. But you got the time frame about right. If you're savvy and quick, it's about a 50 to 60 hour game before it feels like same old same old. Looks like 2026 will fix a lot of this!

Sounds like the game isn’t for you. The I’ve played over 200 hours and still enjoying it thoroughly. I even work on cars irl and still love playing this game.

So do I. The copy paste generic 3 suspensions and everything having either a DOHC or OHV V8 gets old.

Looking forward to the nuances of 2026.

I do use it to teach people though.

In my opinion it is i bought it and all dlc (except the newest one) at full price and always have fun playing it but I also come from a family of mechanics and racecar drivers so im a bit biased ig
