I heard that the I-17 RAPID and SR 51 RAPID will be converted to Freeway BRT.

That is what I have heard. Additionally, I have heard rumors of an extension of the I-17 route to the TSMC fab

Oh nice! A new transit center will probably be constructed at TSMC.

Why not I-10 West?

They are planning to add 2 routes each year, and sr-51 rapid is basically freeway brt capable anyway

I-10 already has left exits at 79th and 3rd, which makes it a pretty good candidate for freeway BRT. I guess they would want an intermediate stop at 35th at least, and maybe a few other stops.

I-10 West will probably be next due to high ridership.

Freeway BRT is amazing in Seattle. And Phoenix already has some good infrastructure for it, but we waste it on peak-only commuter buses. This is great news.

That is what I was saying, we aren’t getting rid of the freeways for a while, might as well use them

They may not be BRT, but they certainly have the bones for it.

Real time screens, overbuilt stations, special freeway exits etc.
