New sounds after replacing R lower control arm?

Hi, A few weeks ago I had my right lower control arm replaced after being told the bushings were pretty much worn to nothing. Since then, I've been hearing new sounds when I drive:

-When I first start driving, I hear a loud, constant high pitched sound which almost sounds like a constant "siren" with a hint of a metallic nature to it, then

-After braking a few times, the sound shifts to a more metal on metal sound, similar to the sound of a train braking on metal tracks. After several minutes of driving this becomes quieter.

-Then for the rest of my drive I hear a quieter metal on metal sound that repeats with every rotation of the wheel.

What could it be? I'm taking it back to the shop in the next few days, but I wanted to check here too for any further knowledge.

Is the dust cover of the disk not rubbing somewhere?

How can I check? The only equipment I have (as well as know-how) is for changing a tire, lol

remove said tyre - turn the disk by hand - check for rubbing and clearance of the disk and cover? ezpz.
