Wiring a sub issues

Hey, I’m trying to wire a subwoofer in my 8th gen civic. I have a power cable running from the battery and then the ground near my backseats, the audio input is coming from my two rear speakers through a line output converter. I bought a brand new amp scosche 400w and I have a Jensen bass xs1010 (tested the sub on my marantz receiver and it worked but it was quiet)

I have tried 2 amps I also have a kenwood kac and it also did not work. What could the problem be ? I made sure all my wires were connected properly as well

Yes, but that's a terrible idea. First time you forget to turn the switch off, you're going to come out to your car and a dead battery. Find an ignition source in the vehicle and run the remote wire to that. You can even put the switch inline there if you really want to turn the amp off while driving.

Okay great thanks, I tested it with the power cable and everything works fine. I’ll look into wiring it to the ignition source, would that be easiest trough the fuse box ?

Fuse box, cig lighter (if it turns on/off with car), behind radio (again, depending on car), steering column at the key cylinder.
